Parish Annual Men’s Retreat

Gentlemen,

I invite you to join me for our parish’s annual men’s retreat at Holy Family Retreat Center in West Hartford which will take place Friday, March 27 through Sunday, March 29.

The theme of this year’s retreat is Pilgrims of Hope.  This year’s theme follows the call by Pope Francis set forth in his declaration of the 2025-26 Holy Year.  “Faith is a pilgrimage,” the Holy Father said.  “We must be willing to take risks, to make an effort to understand God’s call, and to grow in our faith.”  Conferences and workshops will explore hope in the context of our earthly pilgrimage.  As pilgrims, we do not travel aimlessly but allow God to be our North Star, leading us to discover that God is at the heart our journey.

Retreats at Holy Family are comprised of conferences, workshops, prayer services, and free time. While the schedule is open for everyone, all the programming is voluntary. You can attend the sessions that interest you.

The retreat begins with a buffet dinner from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening and concludes Sunday with the celebration of Mass at 10:45 a.m. followed by a hot brunch at noon.  The cost of the retreat weekend is $375 which includes a private room, bed linens and towels, and meals.  Believe me, the food alone makes it worth attending!  (Holy Family can accommodate most dietary restrictions.)

“More if you can, less if you can’t…”   Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center has a long-standing tradition of making retreats available to everyone – regardless of their financial situation and their ability to pay.  If you are interested in this retreat but unable to pay the full offering, please contact me in confidence and I can advise you on the availability of scholarships or payment plans.

More information can be found on the Holy Family website at: https://www.holyfamilyretreat.org/calendar/men1011 where you can register online.  If you are not comfortable with online registration, please contact the registrar, Ted Jastrzebski at 860-760-9705.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

I hope you will give prayerful consideration to attending this year’s retreat.  Once you have made the retreat, you will realize how much you really needed it.
